In 2007, DaKiya fulfilled her lifelong dream of opening a dance studio: Dance Dimensions.  Since its inception, Dance Dimensions has grown into a sought after school for the areas most talented dancers offering classes in ballet, modern, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and acro. DaKiya's students have gone on to have professional careers with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ron K Brown's Evidence, Sole Defined, Dissonance Dance Theater, and had performed in TV, movies and with artists such as Rihanna, Beyonce, and many more.
